Today, businesses play an essential role in the philanthropic landscape. Whether in the form of cash donations, in-kind support, team mobilization or the creation of corporate foundations, their contributions take many forms and raise many questions: how do we define social responsibility in a constantly changing economic context? What are the concrete effects of corporate commitment on communities? And how can we reconcile organizational performance with social impact?
This series of articles explores these dynamics from a number of angles, with the aim of providing food for thought on the place of companies in the contemporary philanthropic landscape. Through portraits, testimonials, interviews and analyses, this series explores the many facets of the relationship between philanthropy and business.
