Governance

For the years 2024-2025, PhiLab 2.5 has simplified governance arrangements. On an informal basis, the Philab Network, consisting of institutional and organizational partners, meets as required.

Three committees are at the heart of the Network’s formal governance: the Partners Committee, the Research Committee and the Operational Committee.

Partners Committee

The Committee meets four times a year and is composed of :

  • two representatives of Philab’s financial partners:
    • Lise Roche of Fondation Mirella et Lino Saputo
    • Patricia Rossi of Fondation Lucie et André Chagnon
  • two outgoing PhiLab network academic co-directors (May to October 2024):
    • Peter Elson of University of Victoria

  • of the new co-directors of the PhiLab Network (November 2024 to May 2025):
    • Elisabeth Robinot of Université du Québec à Montréal
    • Adam Saifer of University of British Columbia Okanagan

Research Committee

This committee meets every two months. It brings together researchers and partners.

Operational Committee

The Operational Committee’s mandate is to manage the operational dimensions of policies, programs and activities, inform the entire Network of progress, monitor and evaluate project implementation, and report to partners and SSHRC as required.
