Farnaz is a PhD candidate in Sustainability Accounting at the Sprott School of Business, Carleton University, with a strong passion for research and creating positive impact. Her journey began during her Master’s, when studying financial sustainability during COVID-19 revealed the power of research to drive real change. Since then, she has pursued her curiosity for asking meaningful questions and exploring the intersection of finance, sustainability, and society.
She brings an interdisciplinary lens to her work, guided by a love for learning, connecting ideas, and turning challenges into opportunities for change. For Farnaz, sustainability is more than an academic pursuit, it is a shared responsibility and a story she is committed to writing alongside others.
At Philab, Farnaz contributes to research projects on the finances of charitable organizations in the non-profit sector, including Food Banks across Canada.
