University of Alberta – Community Service-Learning

PhiLab is financing my graduate research assistantship at the Community Service-Learning of the UAlberta, where I am developing spatial multi-criteria analyses using ArcMap software to prioritize areas for the distribution of the resources that support post-secondary education. This work is framed in the research project “Exploring the Impacts of a Community-Based Post-Secondary Education Award”. Likewise, I support identifying different mechanisms that could improve the collection and administration of the data to have interoperability between socio-economic and spatial information. Outside of this project, I am doing a Ph.D. in water resources engineering at UAlberta; here, I use geographical analyses for water resources management. Finally, I enjoy volunteering with the catholic community in Edmonton; this community has been a great support during my experience as an international student in Canada.
