Annabelle Berthiaume is a research assistant in the research group on case studies of collaborations. Under the supervision of Sylvain Lefèvre, she is studying the evolution, opportunities and issues around the creation of a new network of Quebecois foundations around the question of social inequalities. Annabelle is also collaborating, as a research auxiliary, on a project in partnership with the Services aux collectivités de l’UQAM and the Fondation Béati that aims to analyze the relationship that has been formed between the Foundation and its funded groups.
Annabelle is a Ph.D. candidate in social work at McGill University, in a joint program with Université de Montréal and UQAM. Her research interests touch on the different organizations that cover social issues (public, private and community), community action and social movements. Her thesis is on the cohabitation of these organizations in a neighborhood going through a gentrification process in Montreal, Quebec.
