Introduction

This webinar offers a comparative exploration of the realities faced by two key figures in the museum sector. Through an interactive format, the discussion will highlight the similarities and differences between their experiences.

The webinar will begin with an overview of the current state of cultural philanthropy, highlighting the main trends, challenges, and developments shaping the sector.

By addressing key issues such as the diversification of funding sources, the political skills required for museum management, the alignment between mission and philanthropic expectations, and the role of museums in the democratization of culture, this webinar invites participants to rethink practices and models outside the traditional mainstream.
