Objet du projet

Le but de ce projet de recherche est de travailler en collaboration avec la Fondation Carnegie pour l’enseignement et l’apprentissage afin de rechercher plus en détail l’étendue de ses investissements dans l’enseignement supérieur canadien (y compris les justifications, le financement, les partenaires et l’héritage). De telles connaissances peuvent aider à mettre en perspective historique le projet actuel de classification de l’engagement communautaire et à situer ce travail dans une trajectoire à plus long terme d’influence américaine et de renforcement des capacités pour le secteur.

Ces connaissances peuvent à leur tour être utiles au PhiLab alors qu’il examine plus largement le rôle des fondations plus généralement au Canada, et le travail qu’elles ont entrepris dans la co-création des communautés et des économies politiques qui en sont venues à définir l’État canadien et ses nations.
