With over 75 000 registered charities currently active in Canada and Quebec, it is difficult to know if there are enough of them or too many. The same could be said about the region of Estrie regarding the food aid sector, which includes several organizations that offer services to their population. This research paper covers the important issue of charity saturation and the possible impacts on the operations and activities of the organizations. Could a wide variety of food aid organizations bring about negative impacts on human resources and fundraising?
