PhiLab met with the Minister of National Revenue, the Honorable Marie-Claude Bibeau
Jean-Marc Fontan (co-director of PhiLab Canada) and Diane Alalouf-Hall, PhD. (director of PhiLab Québec) had the privilege of being invited to meet with the Minister of National Revenue, Ms. Bibeau, on March 14th, to discuss the state of philanthropy in Quebec and Canada. This ninety-minute meeting was rich in exchanges and perspectives for the future of the sector.
“By participating in an ongoing dialogue with experts from across the charitable sector, we can together shape a regulatory environment that supports and encourages the important work that charities do in today’s world,” according to the Minister of National Revenue’s Office.
We particularly appreciated the minister’s interest in charity and the discussions on the role of the Canada Revenue Agency in the sector.
We are proud of PhiLab‘s work to increase knowledge about philanthropy in Quebec and Canada.
